How do I keep up with my orthodontic appointments during lockdown?

Even though keeping with your orthodontic appointments are really important in order to have a good treatment result, these appointments are not considered as emergency treatment. Even if you have had to delay the appointment by a month or so, your orthodontist will surely be able to catch up and correct any overcorrection that has happened. Many patients in hostel do visit their orthodontist every 3-4 months and we still manage well. Remember as far as possible Stay In Stay Safe. At the same time as soon as things become better remember to get an appointment with your orthodontist ASAP.

The following steps can be taken in the meanwhile to aid in a problem free treament.

1) Maintain a good oral hygiene. Remember to brush as per the instructions given by your orthodontist.

2) Make sure you dont bite into anything hard or sticky. Any bracket / brace will be difficult to mend at these times.

3) Wear your elastic / headgear/ appliance etc as instructed by your Orthodontist.
