Incomplete Root Canal Treatment.

Q. I have had one appointment for root canal treatment of a tooth. I am unable to go for a follow up appointment due to the lockdown. What should I do?

A.

1) Incase the tooth is not paining we would advice you to take a pause in the treatment for the time being. Dont eat anything hard from that side of the jaw. The doctor would have put a temporary filling in the tooth which should prevent food etc. from going and getting stuck there.

2) Incase there is pain please call us. We may advice you to take a course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories if we suspect residual infection.

3) Incase the pain still does not subside then it is advisable to visit a dentist in a hospital, where proper ventilation and care has been taken for controlling cross infection.
